Lady Bug is a spayed female Yorkshire/Cairn Terrier mix, one of 3 small dogs found by an equestrian in a rural vacant lot in terrible condition; starving and eating weeds to survive. Lady Bug is now healthy and happy, ready to move on to her forever home! Lady Bug is a an extremely sweet and loving little dog, but also fairly shy with people and takes a while to warm-up. She is most confident and comfortable in the company of her doggie pals where her sweet personality shines. She is especially bonded with Cricket, her "big sister". For this reason, my preference is to place Lady Bug and Cricket together, but I would also consider placing her in a home with another dog. Lady Bug loves to play with her toys and considers it her job to give all the dogs "good morning" kisses. CRICKET
Cricket is a spayed female terrier-Shih Tzu mix, one of 3 small dogs found by an equestrian in a rural vacant lot in terrible condition; starving and eating weeds to survive. Cricket is now healthy and happy, ready to move on to her forever home! She is sweeter than sugar and super-gentle. She has a puppy's curiosity, loves to play with her toys as well as other dogs, and is a big snuggler. She can be a bit shy with new people and would not be suitable for a home with small children. My preference is to place her in a home with Lady Bug or in a home with another young, playful dog. SQUEEGEE
Squeegee is a gentle one year-old male terrier/poodle/Shih Tzu(?) mix rescued from the East Valley shelter. His family dumped him there in such severely matted condition that the shelter shaved his coat off upon arrival. It is growing back soft and wavy and requires regular brushing. This good-natured little guy is a real lovebug and still very much a puppy -- curious about everything. He loves to run, wrestle and play with other dogs, enjoys leash walks, and is good with older children as well as adults. He'd be a great addition to an active household. SWEET JORJA BROWN

Raylene is a 2 year old Terrier mix. She and her puppies were living under an abandoned house. Her puppies have been adopted and now she needs a home. She is good with people and children once she gets to know them. She doesn't like cats but she has learned to tolerate mine. She is okay with other dogs but she would do best as an only dog, or with submissive dogs, or with dogs smaller than her. She weighs about 40 pounds. She is very smart and obedient. He was dirty, smelly, and had a really bad ear infection, but now he is all cleaned-up and healed. Vinny is great with children and cats. Sweeney is a 2 to 3 year-old male brindle Pit mix. I saw him and his buddy Red lying on a grassy area by a busy street. They were very friendly when I approached them. Both of them came over for some affection and then they kept on walking down a nearby alley. For a month I would see them along this same busy street always together. Most of the time they would be lying next to each other. It was very heartbreaking for me to pass them and not be able to help them. Finally I decided to take them because it was obvious Sweeney needed medical help. But I had to hassle with a homeless guy who claimed they were his. Hi! My name is Roxanna. I'm a one year old female German Shepherd mix. My foster daddy found me in an industrial area of south LA. He's found a lot of dogs in that area. He found me just in time. I was pregnant and the next day after he brought me home I had my pups. I was really happy to have my puppies in a safe warm place with lots of food and clean water. Now that my babies are weaned I'm ready to be adopted. I weigh 50 lbs and I'm about 2 feet tall. I get along with other dogs, but I don't warm up to men quickly.
